Earlier this week Milan Bergamo celebrated further progression in the diversification of its network launching Ryanair’s four times daily service to Naples. Reflecting the Italian airport’s, as well as the ultra-low-cost carrier’s (ULCC), recent trend to look beyond their respective traditional strategy, the high frequency link will serve as a vital domestic connection to southern Italy for Milan Bergamo’s business passengers.

“The high frequency of our new link to Naples will allow complete flexibility for our business customers. Indicating the change in the airline wanting to attract more high-yielding business travellers, and having access to daily or multi-daily operations on our domestic network with Ryanair gives inbound passengers connection to virtually any other flight on our route map,” explains Giacomo Cattaneo, Director of Aviation, SACBO. He added: “With frequent fliers enjoying the business-orientated services of our airport, including security fast track and business lounges, we are also increasing the retail choice available to all our customers – even those who regularly use Milan Bergamo as their gateway to Milan and the Northern Italy are returning with different gifts for those at home!”

Meeting the essential requirement of any business traveler, Ryanair offers at least a daily service to nearly half of its 77 destinations from Milan Bergamo this summer. With the new 648-kilometre service to Naples becoming one of the ULCC’s most frequently flown routes, at 28 weekly operations, the airline will now serve 10 airports in Italy from Bergamo all of which are served with at least daily flights. Offering more weekly flights and seats to Naples than any other LCC from Milan, Bergamo’s new service will cater for the significant corporate demand and serve as an attractive choice for passengers travelling on business.
