Spain overnight tourist stays decline in January

Tourist overnight stays in Spain fell 6.9% year-on-year to 4.54 million in Janury, the Madrid-based National Statistics Institute reported on Monday.

Domestic overnight stays were up 3.3%, while foreign overnight stays dropped 9.2%.

By provinces, the largest number of overnight stays were recorded in Las Palmas, Tenerife, Alicante, Malaga, Barcelona, Girona, Valencia and Granada.
