The Global Environmental Fund has offered a small grants program for approved proposals in the field of biodiversity, international waters, climate change, and other fields to applicants from the Seychelles, which can include international NGOs. Up to 50,000 euros are up for grabs for each approved project and concept notes are now invited to be sent to veronique.bonnelame@undp.org .

The areas mentioned above are of key importance to maintaining the biodiversity and ecosystems that Seychelles tourism depends upon, and the findings and recommendations of such projects are bound to offer solutions to the problems of rising sea levels, pollution washed to the shores of the archipelago, and subsequently bring about positive change to local communities.
