Congo volcano shines all the way to the Clouds safari lodge

Information received from the management of the award-winning "Clouds" safari lodge at Nkuringo/Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, indicate sightings of the lava flow fires reflecting on the distant clouds in the Congo DR, making the site of the volcano visible from way across the border in Uganda.

Michael Rourke, director of operations of The Uganda Safari Company, witnessed the spectacle close up during a visit to Clouds last week. Clients reportedly enjoyed the sights, too, as an added benefit after tracking gorillas or the nearby chimpanzees, the main activities for guests staying at this fabulous safari lodge high up in the mountainous border region of Uganda, Rwanda, and Congo.
