Latest Edition Launches
New guide book out for Seychelles
Last week also saw the launch of the latest edition of the "Les Seychelles" guide, which is now being printed in both English and French to widen the readership and ensure global distribution.
The first books were officially handed over to the Seychelles Tourist Board last week by the author Richard Touboul and received by the STB director of tourism marketing, Alain St. Ange.
It was also communicated to this column that a former Miss Italy, now a TV personality with her own show, "Dancing with the Stars," was also on a working holiday on the archipelago, starting off a series of high-profile visitors from around the world expected during 2010 to boost STB’s efforts to aggressively market the islands as a leading tourism destination.
Italy is one of the Seychelles’ key markets in Europe and has tourist board representatives based permanently in the country to support travel agents and tour operators in marketing holidays to the islands.
