Bird strikes cause emergency landing

KANSAS CITY, Mo.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A Frontier Airlines plane had to make an emergency landing at Kansas City International Airport on Saturday after striking several birds shortly after takeoff, airport officials said.

Nobody has injured, but one of the engines had to be shut down due to the bird strikes. Airline officials said 129 passengers were on board the flight that took off just after 7 p.m. for Denver.
