Mombo Camp and Sandibe Safari Lodge in Botswana have topped the Condé Nast Traveler 2009 Readers’ Choice Awards as the top 2 resorts in Africa. The two camps are owned by Wilderness Safaris and andBeyond respectively, two Botswana-based, luxury safari companies. Condé Nast Traveler is one of the world's premier travel magazines, with travel tips, vacation ideas and destination information.

Overall, Botswana Safari companies fared well in the poll with 11 additional Botswana camps placing in the top 50 resorts in Africa. In addition to Mombo Camp and Sandibe Safari Lodge, the compliment of Botswana top 50 resorts in Africa award winners and their safari companies are:
