Number of tourist establishments grows in Angola
Luanda – At least 2,541 hotel establishments all over the country were recorded by the Angolan Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, according to the director of department of studies and statistic planning, José Apolinário de Oliveira Diogo.
According to José Apolinário de Oliveira Diogo, who was speaking to Angop on the sidelines of the release of the Statistical Bulletin of the Angolan tourist market, the referred number comprises 81 hotels, 359 accommodations, 11 tourist resorts, five apart-hotels, 11 complexes, 9 tourist conventions and seven inns.
The official also revealed that the establishments integrate 134 guesthouses, four taverns, 57 travel agencies, as well as 1,863 restaurants and similar establishments.
From these numbers, Luanda recorded the biggest increase, with 1,033 establishments, followed by the provinces of Benguela, counting on 487 and Cunene with 190 tourist resorts.
