THAILAND (eTN) - During October 6-8, 2009, the annual Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings Asia (IT&CMA) is back in Bangkok at the centrally-located Bangkok Convention Centre at Central World, themed "Feast on Asia!" Some 2,127 pre-registered delegates, including delegates from the Corporate Travel World (CTW) Asia Pacific, will gather to savor a banquet of inspiring tourist products and services, dream destinations, and enriching seminars.

At the official press conference on the morning of October 6, Mr. Darren Ng,
managing director, TTG ASIA Media from Singapore, revealed that there are 265 seller companies and organizations, as well as 435 buyers from 40 countries to attend the double-bill event. Additionally, some 35 media organizations will support the show.

Furthermore, Ms. Malinee Kitaphanich, director of meetings and incentives,
Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), announced that her organization will host some 150 delegates after the show to visit Chiang Mai, Koh Chang, Hua Hin, and Koh Samui. These four destinations not only showcase Thailand's popular tourist destinations, but also are the four potential MICE destinations of the kingdom. Actually, a 15 percent decline of the MICE market during the last year must be recovered.

Finally, Mr. Krittaphon Chantalitanon, THAI's director, Area Thailand,
Indochina, and Myanmar, talked about the introduction of non-stop flights to Varanasi and Bodhgaya in India, as well as increasing frequencies on the routes to Brisbane, Oslo, Los Angles, and Moscow.

Later this evening, IT&CMA opens with a grand "Feast on Thailand" ceremony at the Royal Paragon Hall inside Siam Paragon, where TCEB will host all delegates accordingly. The reception will prove Thailand's ability to host international meeting and incentive events, featuring year-round festivals and all the entertainment.
