Recently I revisited Phuket and was amazed (pun intended) at the choices available for couples wanting a destination wedding or honeymoon that is original and affordable. Thais are party animals at heart and love to put up a good event especially for something like a wedding. A good friend of mine got married at the Le Meridian and every whim was catered for; most staff worked all day and some knocked overtime so that guests can have a few more drinks after the free bar was shut. The main wedding coordinator even stayed close by throughout the whole event making sure everything went smoothly.

My cousin was recently married in Phuket and I have to say it was a simply magical affair. Married on the beach at sunset the bride arrived on the back of an elephant and the abundance of fragrant fresh tropical flowers was astounding. I would recommend a Thai wedding for anyone!
