Jet Airways confirms pending strike will be dealt with

Jet Airways confirmed that it received yesterday, August 24, 2009, a notice of strike of all its members from the National Aviator’s Guild (NAG), a newly-constituted body of some of its pilots. The notice indicated a strike would occur as soon as September 7, 2009 or soon thereafter.

This notice has been taken up for conciliation by the Regional Labor Commissioner (Central).

As a responsible corporate body, Jet Airways assures its guests that appropriate action will be taken to ensure that there is no disruption of its operations and that no inconvenience will be caused to the traveling public.
