Sanganai Hlanganani World Travel and Tourism Africa Fair's second edition will be held in Harare at the Exhibition Park from October 14-17.

In an interview, ZTA public relations manager Mr. Sugar Chagonda said the fair would be moved to Harare this year after having been staged in Bulawayo the first year of its inception.

"I can confirm that the Sanganai Hlanganani World Travel and Tourism Africa Fair's second edition will be held in the capital (Harare) as ZTA seeks to stage the event in all major provinces of the country. "Last year the fair was held in Bulawayo and it was a success, we also hope to achieve the same feat here in Harare," he said.

However, Mr. Chagonda added that this year's event would be bigger given that most exhibitors who attended the first edition in Bulawayo were mainly from Harare, contributing a total of about 80 percent of the exhibitors who participated.

"Harare firms constituted about 80 percent of all exhibitors at the Bulawayo fair.

"Given the fact that this year's event is going to be staged in the capital, most of the companies that failed to attend the Bulawayo fair as a result of transport costs would not have that plight this year.

"As of now, we have over 230 companies that have confirmed their participation in the Sanganai Hlanganani World Travel and Tourism Africa Fair," he said.

Mr. Chagonda added that a number of foreign companies from Iran, United Kingdom, and South Africa, among others, had already registered their intention to participate this year.

This year's Sanganai Hlanganani Fair will also focus on promoting domestic tourism. "This year's emphasis will also be on domestic tourism. We want it to be as big as always.

"We will also center our focus on the inclusive issue given that this year's edition will be the first since the formation of the inclusive government by the major political parties in the country, therefore, we will try to bring out that sense of inclusiveness at the exhibition," he said.
