Special tour package for Muslim travelers offered by Thai Airways
Thai Airways has expanded their Royal Orchid Holiday program to include a very special package for Muslim travelers. The "ROH Package: Historic Legendary Mosque in Bangkok" was designed to create new opportunities for tourism between Thailand and the Muslim world in addition to promoting historical and cultural tourism.
"The Historic Legendary Mosque in Bangkok package was initiated to create [a] 'reason to travel' for Muslim passengers and to cover broader target market segments by inviting Muslims to visit ancient Muslim mosques and old Muslim communites in Thailand. The special Royal Orchid Holidays program includes a professional Muslim-based tour operator, access to Mosques via boat, arrangement of proper facilities, hotel with Halal meal services, and mosques with shopping areas in the vicinity," Mr. Philip Vira Bunnag, THAI's director of south Asia and Middle East region department.
This program is the first of its kind by Thai Airways that aims to support government policy in promoting relationships and trade between Thailand and Muslim countries. This package is also ideal for travelers who are interested in Thailand's rich history and culture.
