Tropical Storm Ana causes flight changes for AirTran Airways

Based on current forecasts for Tropical Storm Ana by the National Hurricane Center, AirTran Airways is making adjustments to its flight schedule to and from San Juan.

Based on current forecasts for Tropical Storm Ana by the National Hurricane Center, AirTran Airways is making adjustments to its flight schedule to and from San Juan.

The airline is adding an extra flight, AirTran Airways flight 8734 with nonstop service to Orlando, which departs San Juan at 12:25 am on Monday, August 17. AirTran Airways flight 8, scheduled to depart San Juan for Orlando at 7:00 am on Monday, August 17 has been cancelled. All passengers scheduled on flights to and from San Juan on August 16 and 17, should call the airline for the latest updates before departing for the airport, 1-800-AIRTRAN (247-8726). Affected passengers may change flights without penalty.

Other changes may be made based upon weather conditions. Passengers traveling to or from San Juan during the next several days are encouraged to check http://www.airtran.com/ for the latest flight status information. Other updates will be issued as they are available.
