P&O Cruises bans indoor smoking
The ban on P&O Cruises' Oceana, Ventura and adult-only Artemis will confine smokers to their cabin balconies and designated outside areas.
P&O Cruises managing director Nigel Esdale said: "Since Britain went smoke free in July 2007 the British public has become accustomed to being in a smoke free environment with 76 per cent of the general public supporting the ban.
"We hope that becoming smoke free will give all our passengers, especially children, a cleaner and more pleasant environment in which at enjoy their holiday on board."

So, P&O have just lost us, we are 4 times per year cruisers.
Think we'll stick to Cunard QM2, at least you can still smoke on this ship.
If Cunard change their smoking policy too, we'll change to someone else.
Where do cruiselines get all this anti-smoking junk from?
All a ship needs is just one bar where people can smoke, the rest of the bars could then be non- smoking, that way everyone is happy and the line keeps it's clients.
I think P&O will have to re-think this policy, or they will go the way of the great British pubs, bankrupt.
