British Airways reportedly is looking for a buyer for its subsidiary OpenSkies, the all-premium seating airline that began flying in 2008, about the time all the other all-premium trans-Atlantic airlines were going out of business.

OpenSkies announced Friday it would stop its New York-Amsterdam route Aug. 16. That leaves it only with its New York-Paris service.

Several publications contained this statement from British Airways:

"We are reviewing all aspects of our business in the current economic environment. We are reviewing all aspects of our business but will not speculate about specific details. OpenSkies is a small part of our business, and its losses are not significant compared to losses in other parts of the company."

According to the Daily Telegraph, British Airways has hired an investment bank to look at its options.
