One of Frontier Airlines' talking animals has won a regional Emmy award.

The ad features Larry the Lynx - one of the animals adorning the tails of Frontier's planes - and announces the airline is switching to leather seats.

Larry explains Frontier doesn't have a cow on any of its planes because "It would be creepy."

The winning ad was rolled out in May 2008 and the award was presented this month.

Other ads in the campaign feature a fox, a bear and other critters on Frontier planes.

The Denver-based carrier is emerging from bankruptcy protection. A judge this month approved a plan by Republic Airways Holdings to buy Frontier $108.8 million.
