John Tague named new president of United Airlines
UAL Corporation, the holding company whose primary subsidiary is United Airlines, announced today that John Tague has been named president of United Airlines.
As president, Tague has responsibility for all airline management functions, from sales, marketing, and revenue management to the quality of customer service and products, as well as the safe and efficient operations of the airline, including United Express. Tague continues in his role as executive vice president of UAL Corporation and also serves on the Executive Council of the corporation.
In May of last year, Tague assumed operations responsibilities in addition to his revenue responsibilities and will build on the work under way in his new role.
“John is leading the work to drive performance across our airline - focused on delivering sustainable improvements across the operations to benefit our customers and driving consistent cost and revenue results,” said Glenn Tilton, UAL chairman, president, and chief executive officer. “John and the team have made solid progress against our goals by leading the industry in cost control and by making operational improvements, including finishing first in on-time arrivals for the first five months of 2009. John is responsible for driving results that will continue to improve our customer satisfaction scores and will position United as an industry leader across all key metrics.”

I took a flight from Syracuse to Washington DC on the 15th of November 2010. I was in uniform, ID card in hand and copy of my orders. The ticket was waiting for me but your clerk in Syracuse would not give me the military rate becuase I was not using my govt credit card. I paid over $1,800 for a $782.00 flight. I was re-imbursed by the army but then in January 2011 I was re-charged the $782 on my govt credit card. I protested the charge with Citi Bank who told me I had to get the money from United. Since then I have gone on line sent all information by mail twice and been charged over $1,000 by this credit card in fees because I refuse to pay twice for a flight I did not take. I have been given these reference numbers 006162116333111, 12807897A, 12807897C and6919714 without any success. I am currently stationed in Afghanistan and am so disappointed with United and Citi Bank for not clearing this up in January 2011. The Army finance just took $1,007.40 out of my check while I have been deployed here. All because United would not pay the orginal $782 for the flight I was charged twice for. I am still fighting with United and am requesting your assistance and by now feel United owes me a trip to Vegas for all the time and stress your company has put upon me. Along with paying me the full $1,000 I have lost over this issue.
Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

I had a terrible experience with customer service representatives of United first in the phillinnes his name was Richard was so rude.
FOR JOHN TAGUE, PRESIDENT OF UNITED
I called back asked for another supervisor his name was Amol V or U85 he was from India even more rude than the first, he quoted me 100 more to change a flight than I was quoted 10 minutes earlier. I asked Amol for his supervisor said he didn't have one he was the highest point.
Do you have any AMERICAS THAT CAN HELP PEOPLE AND NOT HAVE ATTITUDES. I DIDN'T KNOW THAT AMOL NOW RAN UNITED AIRLINES, I THOUGHT THE PRESIDENT WAS JOHN TAGUE, WELL THIS IS HOW YOU ARE BEING REPRESENTED
