MAALAEA, HI - Fireworks, an evening at sea, delicious appetizers... what could be a better way to spend your 4th of July holiday?

On Saturday, July 4, Pacific Whale Foundation will be offering several special cruises on their ultra-smooth catamarans to view the evening’s fireworks displays. The cruises will conveniently depart from both Maalaea and Lahaina Harbors. Departure times are 6:00, 6:45 and 7:00 pm from Maalaea and 7:00 pm from Lahaina Harbor. The cruise is US$69.95 for adults and US$49.95 for children ages 12 and under. There will also be a family-style, alcohol-free cruise for US$62.95 and US$49.95 for children ages 3-12. Pacific Whale Foundation Members will receive a 25 percent discount.

“This is the perfect way to enjoy the fireworks without having to worry about where you are going to sit,” said Diana Bergantino, Pacific Whale Foundation Eco-Adventures director of operations and customer services. “You’ll have an upfront view of the action plus a fantastic selection of appetizers to make this a memorable and fun 4th of July.”

For those on Pacific Whale Foundation's 4th of July Cruises departing from Maalaea Harbor, there's plenty of free parking in front of Maui Ocean Center.

The cruise includes an array of all-American appetizers, including Jack Daniel’s barbequed chicken, Mediterranean pasta salad, potato-macaroni salad, sliced watermelon and brownies, as well as unlimited juice and soda. With the exception of the alcohol-free cruise, adults with valid ID can also
enjoy up to three alcoholic beverages, with the choice of beer, wine, and Mai Tais.

Check-in for the Lahaina cruise is at Pacific Whale Foundation’s Ocean Store at 612 Front Street. For the Maalaea cruises, check-in is at the Ocean Store in the Harbor Shops at Maalaea (next to Maui Ocean Center). Please check in 45 minutes prior to departure.
